Hosting and Facilitating Death Cafes and Grief, Meets & Eats:
What on earth is a Death Cafe?
It's a safe space within the wider community for open discussions about death, dying, and grief.
No set agenda, not a therapy session, certainly shouldn't be to persuade you on others personal beliefs. Just asking questions and hopefully finding some answers 'for you'
Informal gatherings, encouraging meaningful and respectful conversations and shared experiences, while eating cake and coffee (or tea and biscuits)
Frequently asked questions
Why should we invest our time talking about Death & Grief?
Thinking about death and grief is important because it’s the one certainty in life. Reflecting on it helps us prepare for inevitable loss while fostering resilience and empathy. It encourages open conversations, destigmatising these topics and creating supportive communities where people can navigate grief with understanding and dignity.
How does your service work?
Griefscape offers all services on a fixed fee basis depending on numbers and time allocated. I believe that face to face facilitation is important with such a sensitive topic, so travel expenses outside of my service area will be incurred. (Charge after 50km from Broadbeach, Qld) However, I will be offering Teams and/or pre-recorded presentations to personnel who are remote. (Available Soon)
How much does it cost?
I offer a consultancy session to tailor a 1, 2, or 3-hour program session based on your needs, with fees discussed during consultation. Courtesy presentations may be available at my discretion.
Do you offer individual or group grief counselling?
Unfortunately, I do not provide counselling. My programs are designed as educational tools, community information services, or professional and personal development opportunities. However, I can offer guidance on available resources. Individuals facing personal crises should seek professional advice from a GP or other specialist.
How can I contact you?
You can reach me by the links on this website. I am always happy to answer your questions.
